Frequently Asked QuestionsQ. Is your electrical equipment PAT tested and clearly labeled?
Yes, each Piece of equipment is clearly labeled with a sticker, and all testing is carried out by a highly competent certified PAT tester. ^ TOP Q. Are you insured, CRB checked?
Yes Damian Jay has FULL PUBLIC LIABILITY and FULL ENHANCED DISCLOSURE (CRB checked) ^ TOP Q. How long before the Event will you turn up?
This is dependant on a number of factors. The distance to the venue, ease of access to the venue ie, is the venue upstairs and how near parking facilities are to the venue. On average about 30 - 40 Minutes would be sufficient for the majority of shows. However when booking a LARGE or FULL-SCALE show, a set up time of approx 1 and a half hours is recommended. ^ TOP Q. Can I request any songs for my Event?
You are more than welcome to do so. As long as the playlist is made available to Damian Jay at least 7 DAYS PRIOR to your event, in the unlikely event that we have to source any songs that you would like played. At the time of booking (for discos only) we send out a song request sheet, that you can fill out and return to us. ^ TOP Q. Would you be willing to extend your performance time?
If you have booked a Disco or Karaoke then usually the answer would be Yes. Providing that the DJ / Host has no objections or later bookings. Requests of this nature must be made AT LEAST 45 MINUTES BEFORE THE CONTRACTED FINISH TIME, and will incur an extra Fee of £25 per hour or part hour, payable in cash upfront to the DJ. The DJ has the final say. For Childrens shows, unfortunately most of the time an extension will not be possible as the Entertainer will have later engagements to fulfill. ^ TOP Q. How long does it take you to clear the venue after the Event?
Again this will depend the show you have booked. A good rule of thumb is to allow the same time for the set up and pack down. ^ TOP Q. How much space do you require?
This is governed by the size show you wish to book, and also on the limitations imposed by the venue. This is something that we discuss at the time of booking. However we will always aim to give you the best possible set up for the size of venue. And taking into accout the pack down time. ^ TOP Q. Do you use smoke machines etc?
No. We dont use smoke machines. We do have available a Haze Machine, Bubble Machine and of course Snow & Foam Machines. It is your choice if want to include them in your package. Some are used in the children’s shows and Road shows. ^ TOP Q. Do you use a real rabbit in your childrens shows?
Damian does not use any livestock in any of his shows. ^ TOP |
