A: Contractual Basis - This is when the processing of your data is necessary for us to provide you the services relevant to you.

B: Legitimate Interests Basis -  As an example, we give our customers a quick courtesy call one or two dates before the event and usually a follow up email afterwards thanking them for choosing Damian Jay Entertainment. And if your event is annual, we may ask if you wish to hire us for your next event.

C: Legal obligation basis - We have to comply with the law. HMRC require us to keep records for at least five years for TAX and book keeping reasons.

Outside of contractual and legal reasons, Damian Jay Entertainment will never pass of your personal data to any other third party.

4. What personal information we require.

When making a booking we will require your personal information such as your name, address, phone number, email, birthday childs name etc in order to provide you with a booking confirmation and also to fulfil the booking. As a professional business we may also keep in touch with you about your booking.

5 . How is this information stored?

Any information we have will be stored safely and securely. Please also refer to section 7.

We use a CRM booking system, Google Calendar and Email (all explained in section 7)

Any details we have are stored securely on a fire walled desktop computer used solely for our business purposes.

A copy of any contracts will be taken to bookings either as a digital copy on a smart phone, or a paper copy stapled into the work diary. Once the booking is over the paper copy is shredded leaving the digital copy on our secure systems for legal and  HMRC / TAX reasons. After five years all information is wiped from our systems.

With the exception of any legal obligations, Damian Jay Entertainment does not disclose any information to third parties.

6. What are cookies and how are they used?

Almost every website uses cookies in some way. These are small files that work in the background while your browsing our website and help us to measure how visitors interact with our  website content.

We use traffic log cookies such as Google Analytics to identify which pages on our website are being used. We then use this data to monitor which of our pages visitors are looking at. Over a period of time this information builds up and tells us which of our pages are popular and which are not. This enables us to keep our web content useful to our visitors.

Once you leave our website the cookie is deleted. No personally identifiable information is recorded during this process. Only which pages you  view on OUR OWN website, how long you stay on each page and generic geographical location such as your town is recorded

You can easily turn off cookies in your browser settings if you prefer. Use Google search to help you with this.

7. Security of your data

When you provide us with your personal information, it is treated securely and will never be shared with any third party, unless we are legally obliged to do so.

When you call, text, email or contact us through our website, any personal information is recorded and stored electronically on secure sites such as Google Calendar, Gmail and My Mail servers.

Your data is is treated with confidentiality and Damian Jay Entertainment takes all appropriate steps to protect it. All sites we use are GDPR compliant, are secure having the SSL certificates in place and all our computers and mobile devices are password protected and fire walled.

We use Gmail and My Mail as our email providers whose services are GDPR compliant ad all emails are encrypted by default.

Our website is hosted by CFKHosting who are GDPR compliant. CFKHosting do not collect cookies or IP addresses.

We also use Google Calendar and our account is password protected and set for private viewing by Damian Jay Entertainment only.

In addition to this, Google will text our mobile  (which is fingerprint and pin protected) with a code before we can access the information. Should our mobile device be lost or stolen it can be remotely wiped of all information, Apps and content within minutes.

8. Your rights under GDPR

Below is the full list of your increased rights. They may not apply in some circumstances, but you are welcome to exorcise any of these rights by contacting us using the details under section 10. You have the following rights:
